CASCADIA International Women’s Film Festival’s Script Studio

CASCADIA’s Script Studio provides screenwriters with a chance to hear their scripts read aloud

by actors, to discuss their work with a panel of film professionals, and to network with women

directors and other film professionals. Four short screenplays, written by women, are selected

by judges from the film world. Scripts are projected on a large screen for the audience, while

actors read the script. Then the panel of film professionals weighs in, discussing the script’s

strengths and weaknesses, and making suggestions for improvement.
