BTG SATELLITES kicks off its 2025 Season with a public domain monologue competition and the Bellingham presentation of their award-winning Kaleidoscope ’25 entry to the state festival.
3/5/2025- Bellingham WA – BTG SATELLITES, the Bellingham Theatre Guild’s off-site small-budget production program enters 2025 like a lion with A SAMPLER OF THE ACTING-EST!, a pop-up presentation celebrating the high art of solo performance. The evening includes the pilot of THE ACTING-EST!, a public domain monologue competition for points, prizes and the love of the audience, and the first local presentation of BTG’s award-winning Kaleidoscope ’25 production of Sean Walbeck’s YOU DIDN’T HEAR THIS FROM ME.
THE ACTING-EST! competition has local actors performing for points from the judges, and “votes” (available for sale) from the audience to win the honor of being called THE ACTING-EST! actor in all of Bellingham. YOU DIDN’T HEAR THIS FROM ME is a short one-man show about a writer who cannot tell the story about losing his virginity, which won awards for acting and Magic Moment at the Washington State Community Theatre Association state festival in February. (This show contains adult language, adult content, and frank, but not vulgar or profane, descriptions of sex.) The evening is not expected to go longer than ninety minutes, and there will be an intermission.
