SUMMARY:Chicago The Musical: Teen Edition
DESCRIPTION:Our production of Chicago is designed to redefine the look most commonly associated with the show. Our Chicago shares the same story while including body types and gender identities that have previously been left out of the story. Additionally our show is geared toward what happens when women are in charge of their own stories. Chicago explores themes such as murder\, death\, pregnancy\, mild-sexual references\, infidelity\, and employs the use of prop guns. Please consider how these themes may affect you while making your choice to join us at the theatre. \nLittle Lemon Productions is a student run theater company dedicated to producing shows for students by students. Our upcoming show Chicago marks our first Repertory Program production. These productions aim to educate students on what a professional process looks like while implementing union standards. Our hope is that by educating students on what union standards look like our students are prepared to go into professional spaces\, and know warning signs of situations that violate their rights and are potentially dangerous. Little Lemon is dedicated to ensuring that money is never a barrier to a student’s participation and has been fundraising and working to eliminate tuition from the company. Your support and visit to the theatre goes directly to Little Lemons future. Our current goals being\, building a size inclusive costume closet and financial equity for our performers through tuition free show and scholarship accessibility. We thank you for your donations and your constant support of Little Lemon. We could not do this without you\, and we cannot wait for you to see all of our hard work pay off. \nTickets available  in advance and at the door. \nAdvance tickets: Chicago via ThunderTix

SUMMARY:Summer Sunset Sessions - Andy Bunn and Friends
DESCRIPTION:Come down to  the patio of Bellingham Cider and enjoy an acoustic performance from Andy Bunn. Andy is a songwriter living in Bellingham WA who writes character-focused songs. His debut album Hickory was selected as a best of by Bandcamp’s Ben Salmon. \n  \n“Hickory is a good reminder that top-shelf country-bluegrass can come from anywhere…Bunn delivers songs based on old family stories through a perfectly fine-grit vocal rasp. The result recalls Steve Earle’s dabbles in bluegrass—a high compliment.” \n  \nAndy will be backed up by local fiddle legend Kian Dye and mandolinist Pete Goodall. \n  \nTickets: https://newprospecttheatre.thundertix.com/events/215090

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Martin and Anna Tivel- SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:Two fabulous songwriters playing in a listeners venue. Not to be missed! \nPortland\, Oregon’s Jeffrey Martin is a minister’s son who can build a house with his bare hands and holds a master’s degree in English. He worked his way through school as a carpenter\, then\, following graduation\, spent four years teaching high school. \nIt was during that time that his career as a songwriter came into bloom. Struggling to strike a balance between his increasingly rigorous Northwest/West Coast touring and his efforts to get teenagers to love words as much as he did\, Martin found himself in the tricky position of having to choose between his two passions. \nMuch to the delight of his fans\, music won the day. Now\, with three intensely lyric-driven albums under his belt\, two of which were released on the Portland indie-label\, Fluff & Gravy Records\, Martin has developed a loyal and growing audience\, both domestically and abroad. Prior to the halting effects that a global pandemic placed on his ability to do so\, Martin kept a restless touring schedule. \nAnna Tivel\, raised in La Conner\, comes from the vibrant music scene in Portland with 6 albums from her decade long career. Her most recent album\, Outsiders\, has found a place on many reviewers’ Best of 2022 Lists. Throughout her work\, Tivel has emphasized storytelling and this album is no exception\, building on the strength of her ability to observe and reflect with a clear-eyed empathy. Inspired by authors from Steinbeck to Morrison\, Didion to Dubus\, she imbues her songs with attentive detail and a dreamlike quality that leaves the ordinary feeling both palpable and poetic. Tivels characters are common but unforgettable\, NPRs Ann Powers writes\, Her images linger\, and become populated with the energy of the real. \nTickets: Jeffrey Martin and Anna Tivel

SUMMARY:Days of Light 2023 - Cedar Dreamer & Mountain Holler with Traesti Darling
DESCRIPTION:Bellingham locals Traesti and Alexandra (fka The Living Arrows) perform as the acoustic duo Traesti Darling. Their music\, influenced by folk\, jazz\, and pop\, defies genre and captivates audiences of all ages. \nTraesti Darling brings lyrical journeys to life with enchanting harmonies and toe-tapping rhythms that tend to cause listeners to dance\, sing\, laugh\, and cry. The weaving of their voices has been compared to Simon and Garfunkel\, but their poetry has a soul-enlivening quality entirely its own. Their original songs are carried by catchy melodies\, emotional depth\, and a unique flair that will keep your ears piqued\, your heart open\, and your soul eager for more. \nMountain Holler is the deeply whimsical cavernous alt-folk project of Seattle\, WA based musician Mark Etherington. Each song is a meditation on nature\, the shadowed side of our human experience in this realm and the dream-music of Etherington’s explorations through his own mind. We must also mention the heavy influence from Tolkien lore. These explorations are transcribed and projected using acoustic guitars in unusual\, alternate tunings\, live-looped drones and haunting vocals layered that provides the listener an invitation to glimpse into one human’s experience of this world and our shared nature. \nCedar Dreamer is the solo project of Alexander Freilich. Since 2014\, Cedar Dreamer has been creating reverent ambient music that looks to the cycles\, shapes\, and sounds of the wild Earth for a never-ending well of inspiration. Devoted to deepening human-nature connection through music\, Cedar Dreamer strives to create spaces\, both sonic and physical\, for deep journeys of the heart and mind. \nhttps://newprospecttheatre.thundertix.com/events/213298

It will be open to the public free of charge. \nCASCADIA’s Script Studio provides screenwriters with a chance to hear their scripts read aloud by actors\, to discuss their work with a panel of film professionals\, and to network with women directors and other film professionals. \nFour short screenplays\, written by women\, are selected by judges from the film world.
