SUMMARY:When Jack Met Jill
DESCRIPTION:BELLINGHAM THEATRE GUILD presents Adam Szymkowicz’s wildly imaginative post-modern life story of fable-famous Jack and Jill (post-bucket and out of chronology!) as their first production on the Lucas Hicks stage. \n12/20/2022- Bellingham WA – The Bellingham Theatre Guild presents When Jack Met Jill by Adam Szymkowicz\, their official entry to the Kaleidoscope State Theatre Festival\, for its premiere local performances at the New Prospect Theatre on January 12-15\, 2023.  Directed by Suzanne Mackay and a cast of fabulous local actors\, WHEN JACK MET JILL follows the mostly-post-bucket lives of the famous couple throughout time and the ages as they struggle with the definitions of their relationship to each other.  This goofy adult travail\, like most of Szymkowicz’s work\, mixes light and dark with a contemporary wariness of either.  Evening performances are at 8pm\, and the matinee on the 15th starts at 1pm\, tickets are $15. \nThe Kaleidoscope Festival\, which takes place February 9-12\, 2023 in Tacoma\, is the Washington State leg of the AACTFest’23 National One-Act Play Competition.  When Jack Met Jill will be the Bellingham Theatre Guild’s sixth play entered into the adjudicated community theater competition over the years\, with previous shows earning awards at the State\, Regional and National levels.  Plays are limited to one hour with a ten-minute set-up/take-down time\, and the talented actors (David Bolden\, Kris Erickson\, Audrey Henderson\, Karl Ritter-Smith) and designers (Chris Coombs\, Keefe Healy) get one performance to prove they deserve to move forward to Regional\, and\, hopefully\, National stages.  This time\, Bellingham Theatre Guild is presenting their entry for local consumption at the New Prospect Theatre cuz what’s the point of local theatre without sharing locally with locals?  Exactly!  Come on down to the New Prospect Theatre\, cheer us on and support two theaters with one show! \n“WHEN JACK MET JILL is produced by special arrangement with THE GERSH AGENCY\, 41 Madison Avenue\, 29th Floor\, New York NY  10010 \nThe Bellingham Theatre Guild is a volunteer theater that has been serving the Whatcom County community since 1927.  More information about BTG can be found at www.bellinghamtheatreguild.com. \nTickets: https://bpt.me/5679561 \n

SUMMARY:Peter Ali - Cancelled due to illness - Traesti and Alexandra have stepped up to perform
DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, Peter Ali has to cancel this event due to sickness. Traesti and Alexandra have stepped up to perform. \nBellingham locals Traesti and Alexandra (fka The Living Arrows) perform as the acoustic duo Traesti Darling. Their music\, influenced by folk\, jazz\, and pop\, defies genre and captivates audiences of all ages. \nTraesti Darling brings lyrical journeys to life with enchanting harmonies and toe-tapping rhythms that tend to cause listeners to dance\, sing\, laugh\, and cry. The weaving of their voices has been compared to Simon and Garfunkel\, but their poetry has a soul-enlivening quality entirely its own. \nTheir original songs are carried by catchy melodies\, emotional depth\, and a unique flair that will keep your ears piqued\, your heart open\, and your soul eager for more.
