DESCRIPTION:More Lasting Than Bronze – A Reading \nBy Lillian Oh-Furlong \nDirected by Lila Soelberg \nAn award winning play by local playwright\, Lilian Furlong\, More Lasting Than Bronze is a sapphic retelling of the myth of Artemis and Orion. Inspired by the playwright’s love of mythology and storytelling\, it explores love\, sacrifice\, and what it means to be human. It was first showcased at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival One-Act Play competition in 2023\, where it was selected as a semi-finalist and was awarded the Regional Paula Vogel Award. More Lasting Than Bronze was also selected as part of WWU’s student-led new works series during their 2022-23 season. \nThis is a workshop performance\, so following the show there will be an audience talk-back with the director and cast.
